Empowering You was established in 2019. In 2021, we decided to take a leap of faith offering clinical services including telehealth therapy services to adults (21+) primarily focusing on skill development to manage life’s occasional challenges and normative transitions. We also offer clinical supervision, educational workshops, fulfillment of agency contracts including assessment and diagnosing and EAP services.
Hi, I’m RACHEL SWAFFORD.
Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am a social worker for all seasons, empowering individuals, changing lives! My motivation to do what I do is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me!”
I am owner and COO of Empowering You Social Work Services. I have been working with children and families for over twenty years; supervising for more than seventeen years. My passion is helping others develop the skills they need to accomplish their goals.
I am currently licensed to practice social work in Michigan, Louisiana and Washington.
I am a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor in the state of Louisiana. With this endorsement, I can help my social work colleagues gain their clinical license.
EYSWS was endorsed in 2021 by the Louisiana Board of Social Workers to approve organizations who would like to offer continuing education units as well as offer continuing education units.
I received my undergraduate degree in Sociology from Michigan State University. My Master's degree in Social Work was received from Western Michigan University.
