Dads should be celebrated!
There is a lot of emphasis placed on Mother’s Day and I am a mother, so I get it; however, and there are many great dads in the world. Many do not receive the credit and recognition that they deserve. This weekend is a great time to shower dad with love, appreciation, gratitude, and maybe even forgiveness. Yes, I said forgiveness. After June 19th, continue to make your father a priority in your life. Trust me, he will appreciate it. And just in case he doesn’t, you’re still making the right choice to honor him. If you are the dad who doesn’t understand your role or you don’t have the capacity to fulfill your role, ask God for guidance. To all the men who are fathers in some shape, form, or fashion, may you feel love and gratitude today, this weekend, and always! Sincerely, Rachel Z. “McAfee”-Swafford
